Kavanagh's Christmas Pop-up Choir! · Portlaoise · Dec 13, 2026

Join us at Kavanagh's Bar and Venue for our first ever 'Kavanagh's Christmas Pop-up Choir!'  Happening on Sunday, December 13th, 2026 from 7.30 sharp to 9.30pm (Doors open at 7.15pm), and directed by Laois-born musician, Liza Delaney and friends. This special, one-night-only event invites everyone (especially those with absolutely no prior singing experience!) to step away from the Christmas rush and discover the pure joy of singing in our community. Over two festive hours, we will learn two classic Christmas songs in a relaxed yet high-energy, and completely pressure-free environment. Whether you want to try learning simple, beautiful harmonies or prefer to just happily stick to the main melody, this evening is all about fun, connection, and celebrating the festive spirit together. Often thought about joining a choir but can't commit to regular rehearsals / don't have the time / don't feel you're a 'singer?' Come along to experience the vibrant atmosphere of Kavanagh’s Music Bar and Venue courtyard. This is primarily a standing event to allow everyone space to move. However, inclusivity is at the heart of our choir, so please contact us in advance if you require seating or have specific accessibility needs so we can accommodate you. Please note that the event may be filmed and photographed to capture the festive cheer, share the memories with attendees, and promote future pop-up events on social media. Bring your friends and your festive energy, and join us for an unforgettable night of music in Portlaoise!
