Mike Zito has established himself as a fixture in the contemporary blues and blues-rock scene. His raw voice, blazing guitar playing, and honest songwriting combine to form a mix of Texas blues, Southern rock, and deep soul that is instantly recognizable. Born in St. Louis, Missouri, he grew up with both rock and electric blues. After years in clubs and smaller venues, he gradually built an international career, remaining true to tradition while simultaneously giving a very personal interpretation to the genre. Throughout his career, he won multiple Blues Music Awards and co-founded the band Royal Southern Brotherhood with other top musicians from the scene. Today, he is a fixture at festivals and blues stages worldwide. Live, Mike Zito is pure energy. His concerts build from intimate, heartfelt blues to explosive blues rock.
